We stopped off for the night on our road trip from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Located just off the highway, the Bayside Inn was a good base to explore the local area from - just under a 10 minute drive to downtown Monterey.
Our room had two large beds and was spacious for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. It was well equipped and basic toiletries were provided. A continental breakfast was served in the reception area with plenty of seating available outside.
Check in and check out was very smooth and staff were helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Really pleasant surprise here. We had a room with plenty of space for four. Comfortable furnishings. Our room had a little sitting room which was even better. Staff could not have been more helpful. They were very proud of their establishment. Splendid breakfast. Safeway just down the road.

It's your friendly motel which offers you free parking, clean rooms and a free breakfast in the morning. The owner is super friendly and soft spoken. If you love Chinese food, its very close to a highly recommended Chef Lees's restaurant. If you are visiting Monterey bay area, aquarium, 17 mile drive etc, this is a good place to stay in budget.
